  • really good video. i use really tiny carbon rods for the tip. its very lightweight and i can slide the weight on it and put it far to the front, so i dont need very much weight to get the cog right

  • @maxtor827 I follow what you're saying, You cantilever the front weight way out so the weight is levered, so you need less weight. You can also use something light and stiff like carbon fiber to stiffen the wings of bigger gliders. Bigger gliders are more efficient than smaller because of the "Reynolds Numbers" phenomenon.

  • how to make that it flies slower??

  • @SoftEjectTV There is a link at the top of the text information area to make lighter, slower, easier to fly gliders.

  • can you fly the tumblewing with your hands too?

  • @Bluesbrothe The tumblewing is less efficient at flying than other designs. John Collins, who invented them, has a tissue paper version that he does fly with his hands but I have not been able to.

  • instead of using the twisties i use straws it works really well since air passes through

  • @sciencetoymaker Thank you for this really fast answer! (i am surprised ;)

I will stop trying to fly a tumblewing with by hands (:

  • @Bluesbrothe John Collins, who invented the walkalong glider, has some tissue paper version that he can actually fly with his hands but I haven't been able to. I did have some success with very thin foam big mouth tumblewings and hand flight, but I was right at the edge of fjlight. Tumblewings are great, slow, good to learn on, but they are less efficient at flight than other gliders.
