That's why we're all switch'n to Ambit Energy. I even like how you can work from them workn from home. Check it. iloveAmbitEnergyDOTcom ... 5 min Paul explains it. ... By the way I went to school with you in Paris, TX man! ... I added you on facebook. Call me when you get a chance. 903.272.0457.
Direct Energy is NOT a scam. Both he, and the verification over the phone, went over and over the agreement and conditions. You have two ears so you can listen twice as much as you talk.
I'm glad you got the cancellation rate dropped. They did misrepresent themselves to you.
As an employee for DE on the EastCoast, me my family and my friends are signed up, no issues. Everyone I ever met who signed with Direct Energy has been a happy customer.
unfortunately america is stupid and lazy. no one pays attention to the fine print. no one wants to listen to the call from the "verification" agent when they ask over and over if you understand this term or that condition. this is why people are shock when they roll over to high variable rates after 12 months. or like this guy who didnt follow up on his t&c's. i assure you 85% of the people pissed off at direct energy are the stupid and lazy bastards who just don't pay attention WATCH YOUR MONEY
and after 5 business days why did he not try to track down direct energy's phone number to see why he hadnt received his paperwork. i know when it comes to my money...im going to make damn sure i know what im signing up for....not only that this guy is calling him phartman with a ph...seriously
what is interesting is this guy did not display active listening skills while signing up. the door to door guy did not lie to him. he explained the the fact it was a fixed rate. he explained that he had 3 to 5 business days to cancel. and the terms and conditions were read over the phone...which you have to say yes to in order for anything to be processed.
