this might be a little raccist but it's something that I'm seeing in music now a days. people in the mainstream now a days wanna see white people who sound like black soul vocalistst(amy winehous, duffy, adelle, morrison and some dudes who sound the same) while the great black soul singers and music makers stay behind or get their songs covered it's the beatles and elvis all over again. they need to do auto tuning or stand half nekked to get some attention.

I saw Cody at the House of Blues in 2003 or 2004 can't remember. But I remember how he completely captivated the crowd with his voice. He is super tight on the guitar also. He is an awesome talent and definately underrated. Hopefully the new Axe commercial will give him more mainstream publicity.

God Bless you Cody keep giving us good music, there isn't enough of it these days.

@MrRayDarren Yeah.. I understand. But this goes for basically any artists with soul. No matter what colour good artists are, the big companies want bad singers because they are more popular. REAL instruments just aren't "cool" anymore :(

I think what ab40 was saying is that some of the black soul artists aren't getting the publicity they need. And there are a lot of them out there.
