@zihava He does not feed bears other than those that he initially raised (and their offspring).
While a few of his bears were problem bears (particularly males), this was not at all the case for all of them-most of his females did quite well. The bears he raised that ended up problem bears became problem animals after trigger events (related to hunters or encounters with larger males).
He does NOT find already wild bears and habituate them, and works to make sure they depend on wild food sources

I think this guy is brilliant! (well, obviously he is brilliant.. he was tested) And he is quite brave so, how else do you learn what he learns by spending that quality time with the animals. I may put them at a certain risk level but perhaps it is well worth it to learn... they are scientists afterall - that is the ultimate goal.

there no difference then wild chimpanzees i would imagine and their intelligence maybe on par too but i feel sorry for the people living in areas with those bears though coming into their homes and neighborhoods

oh my goodness! the bear at 0:21 is masturbating!
just because he isn't looking through a microscope it doesn't mean that this isn't science. i greatly admire this man for knowing that. i want to work with wildlife, so i'm very inspired by this video. thank you for posting.
