Thanks for the reply.. I am not much of a builder myself but it seems to be the only way to get a gyro! I will visit your company and see what else I can find out. Blue skies..

hmmm ill have to try it out then I guess lol

Surprisingly when you are in one of these it is actually super stable. But ya, getting the guts to go the first time is all it takes. After that all you want to do is fly one of these. Airplanes and other aircraft just aren't as fun.

That is so awesome but I would have a hard time trusting it, lol id freak out once it took off but who knows untill you try it right?

I'm very interested In learning to fly a gyrocopter. I was wondering what the total cost of training is? Since I live in pennsylvania, it appears I'm going to have to travel and stay where I'm training. The closest instructor is over 300 miles away, at that rate, I might as well travel the 2,000+ miles to utah.

@MrJoeVig It costs about $6,000 to get a license in someone else's gyro. The main problem is that you can only get dual training in most gyros. Meaning if you ever want to fly alone or finish your license, you will have to buy your own gyro or borrow a friends. We would love to teach you to fly though! They are a blast.

Did you build your Sparrowhawk yourself? If so about how many hours did it take you? I am real interested in this aircraft and your video is just excellent. Also, the tail wheel seems only inches from the tarmac... does that impede takeoff and does it make landing any more difficult? Thanks for the video..

Our company, Airgyro Aviation, built these ones. I don't do much of the building myself, but know quite a bit about it. I would say the build time is around 500 hours. The tail wheel does impede takeoff at all, it is fairly close to the ground, but up enough not to cause any problems. On landing it actually helps straighten everything up, especially in crosswind situations.

Utah is a pretty sweet place to fly. The mountains are so much fun and so beautiful. And thanks for watching the video.
