Absinthe in the UNF College Dorm

We had a bottle of real Czech Absinthe imported to the US and decided to prepare it as close as possible to the 'traditional way' with water dissolving a spoonful of sugar. This was the start of a typical drunken Thursday night in Fall 2004 in the dorms at the University of North Florida.

I don't care if you're the Queen of England, that is NOT real absinthe. The phrase "Czech absinthe" is a paradox unto itself, because the Czechs don't make real absinthe. Please research the links I provided above, erase this video to conceal your own ignorance, and try again with the real stuff next time.

Maybe you can confusing the word REAL with BEST. It may not originate from the country which you like the best, but it is real Absinthe with plenty of thujone. I should've took a close up of the herb that settled on the bottom, but the vid is a few years old so there's nothing I can do now. After we finished the bottle, we even tried to smoke the herb, but i didn't work too well since there was a lot of twigs in it.

I am the vid poster and it IS real. It's a Czech absinthe and it was sent over by a friend in Germany. The first two bottles were intercepted by US customs, while the third bottle made it here.

HAHA you're full of shit. it is perfectly legal to get is shipped here and to own it. it's only illegal to resell it and if for some reason that did happed it would've cost you $600 all together. you probably got it from absintheoutburn. com which is advertised EVERYWHERE and says right on the page it's perfectly legal. i'm not saying it isn't real completely, thats just the commercialized version

My video is almost 3 years old and this 'argument' is rediculous. Trust me guys, it's the real deal as it was shipped from the Czech Republic. It wasd expensive to ship, not to mention the firts bottle was intercepted by US customs (which they even called me about :( ). I had to spend double to get the next one here. BTW, we didnt hallucinate because we got too drunk first and didn't consume enough thujone.

The thing is... it's not even "absinthe" at all. Everything else you've said is spot on the money. People think that just because they've paid so much for it, that it MUST be real, but that's not the case at all. That way of thinking is exactly what the swill producers are depending on... the ignorance of the masses. They know these kids are too busy pimping out their myspace profiles to put in the necessary research to distinguish the real stuff from the swill

actually you do, you first put a perforated spoon over it with a sugar cube on it, then you drip the water over the cube, thereby dissolving it and 'louching' the absynthe, which brings out the genuine taste. Usually though, the brand of absynthe in this video is not considered of good quality by absynthe connaiseurs

I bought a really good Absinthe called "THUJONE SUN". Its from Jamaica and contains 90mg Thujone. The most Absinthe with much Thujone are ugly, but this one is great. I luv the grandious tase with a appreciable thujone activity :)

i've actually had teh "higher" quality version of that brand, and its friggin terrible. it tastes like the bittering agent in compressed air cans. on the plus side, it is very alcoholic, but its not something i'd ever recomend spending my money on.
