it's weird because it's presented like a horror with the suspense and the horror genre-inspired sound effects but there's nothing supernatural about the killer and you see his face the whole time so there's no mystery there in the sense of a Michael Myers, Jason or Black Christmas type killer. That makes it less effective as everyone knows the scariest killers are also the most mysterious.
