As we get ready for hurricane Ida to come our way, I wanted to give you a chance to see what it is like before a hurricane. More videos will follow as the storm approaches and eventually makes landfall (*We will get back to more gig logs and mobile DJ related videos later this week.)

  • Where are you

im in bay minette, 40 miles north of the gulf

  • I'm in Pensacola, not too far from you.

  • fox 10 said, school has already been canelled for tomorrow.

my dad just when to wal mart to get supplies and get gas for the Gen.

i dont think it will be too rough, but " its better to have a gun and not need to use it, than to need it and not have it"

  • I agree 100%. Better to be safe than sorry. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. As I said in the video you will eventually use the gas in your vehicle and the food you get you will eat, so it's not a deal. Thank goodness this won't be anything like Ivan or Katrina. Probably just a lot of rain and maybe some wind is my guess.

  • Hey Stacey, Be Prepared! I wanna see you cook chicken noodle soup on the grill (LOL!) $2.53 for gas! In Pa. we're paying $2.75. Stay Safe!

  • LOL, yeah cooking chicken noodle soup on the grill would be fun.

I'm watching the Eagles-Cowboys game and the local news just broke in and said we are now under a hurricane warning. It was a watch earlier.

  • I don't get hurricanes in my area, just tornadoes. Those dynamo powered radios are invaluable, especially if they have emergency services bands ( if local is still analog). Better yet get a shortwave/scanner with single sideband so you can listen to local HAM operator networks. They will provide real time information even local tv/radio news doesnt have.

  • i dont think people buy batteries like they used to,,, with blackberries and stuff now people dont need batteries for radios to get the news anymore.

  • wal marts are always crowded!

    nice though

  • I hope it wont.

God, we didnt have power after Ivan till the second week in october, and Ivan came threw in the middle of September
