http://www.corepsychblog.com ADHD medications cannot be successfully adjusted without using specific parameters - this video explains one set of essential parameters in detail - and look at *ADHD Medication Rules* for more med details: http://bit.ly/medrules

All stimulant meds have a half-life less than 24 hours. Measuring that half life is absolutely essential to dialing in the meds correctly. Details about how long each med should last are in the Rules book and can easily be followed.

ADHD is quite treatable and easily manageable if only the targets and the tools are understood. Psych meds appear challenging because many don't follow basic guidelines, and some don't even believe in ADHD!

The absolute key is watching the DOE, the duration of effectiveness.

  • Someday their will be as many health-state apps as 'angry bird' apps -- apps that allow for seamless data collection/sharing -- and automatically, as possible and authorized.

  • @scpeer I certainly hope so, good thot, sure it will happen, my master plan, get this all on vid and let the public decide what works for them - good information or guesses.

  • Would your book on ADHD medications also apply to those with ADD-PI or SCT (not hyper active). Thanks for all the info.

  • @SalilSundresh Yes, *Rules* covers the details for every current subset of ADHD - especially breaks down the clear fact that current ADHD diagnostic pattern are themselves counterproductive unless, of course, the ADHD symptoms are flamingly obvious. Knowing the specific *brain function* challenges and their expression clinically helps with more precision in targets [diagnosis] and med management. Thanks, cp

  • Terrific video, Dr. Parker. Thanks!

  • Does you book on ADHD

  • This simple video is the very short big answer to about 80% of med problems. The only shortcoming here: after you identify a problem with dosage adjustment... what do you do about that? My Rules book [click on my name] details the answers after this first speed bump is crossed.

  • If he doesn't understand [quite possible], or doesn't have familiarity with ADHD treatment [also possible], make sure you don't give up. I have a whole chapter in my book ADHD Med Rules on finding and working with a doc. People need specifics as docs have a wide variety of experience, and some simply don't qualify. If they will work with you and you understand it, then the world can change - details in the book.

  • Thank you so much for all your videos, you've helped me understand a lot of my feelings I had my whole life, finally going to be treated now and I know what is important to talk with my doctor over the medicines, just worry he won't consider my opinion.
