One of the saddest and most ironical stories. All the heartbreak for an heir who would never inherit, a Shah who himself died in exile... and two of his children died by their own hands. Since the revolution in Iran i always found it very ironical that he divorced his wife for an heir but he could not give that heir the destiny he wished for him. The peacock throne's destiny was to be empty.
I enjoyed this even more because so much of Iranian history was woven into the story.

No way... She is such a young person with possibility... She could not be turned down in this way... What a sad ending,,, Thanks for posting...

The (so called) Shah was a weak person. Not a man. Not a Gentleman. A died as such. A homeless pariah.

@Rachelmariaaa Apparently that was not the case, as he had a bunch of kids from her last wife, Farrah, all splitting images of him.

"the princess with sad eyes." it suites her.
-
Did she ever express any opinion about her successor, the beautiful Farah Diba?
-
@Rachelmariaaa Well he had fathered a child with his first wofe and had more with his 3rd wife so it seems unlikely it was a problem with the Shah.

Were they really still so backward in those days not to realise that it might be because of the guy that the women won´t get pregnant?!?!
