The Smith and Wesson 32 Safety Hammerless was one of the very first double action revolvers to feature a grip safety. In this GunTec Presentation Larry Potterfield, CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, examines the features and specifications of this neat little revolver. Chambered in 32 S&W, this model was produced from 1888 through 1902 with total production around 90,000 guns. It features a nickel finish with hard rubber grips.

  • thats a neat shooter i must say

  • @verfugbarkite We need guys like you to move to the USA.

  • thanks Larry!

  • Honestly, I can understand having a grip safety on a semi-auto like the 1911, but this seems kinda ridiculous. That double-action revolver could fall off of a fucking cliff and STILL not discharge, even if it didn't have the grip safety. Worthless function, if you ask me.

  • The old 32-20 cartridges were used in pistols. When I look at the energy output for these rounds they seem really high for handguns, nearing magnum performance. Did revolvers use a weaker load? Or was black powder so slow burning that most of the energy was used to start fires? Thanks, I'm a Brit but Larry encapsulates everything I like about Yanks.

  • do i see some m1 carbines back there?!

  • and thats the way it is

  • nice

  • Like these older revolvers and I am more a collector than shooter, however I wanted to know between the 1st Model and 3rd/4th Models - what is the more stable of a locking design for these guns? Thank you in advance for your responses.

  • Pocket pain injector.
