The guitar has Fender American Standard Stratocaster pickups on Bridge and Neck. AlNiCo V magnets. And a ceramic Fender Stratocaster MIJ 91' R/W on middle position.

The amp is a Vox AD50VT, set on Boutique Clean, and added some Reverb.

Nice sounding guitar!

  • Gotta love a strat and a vox combined.

I have the ad50vt and an american deluxe strat:)

  • nice sounding guitar, sucks that you had to pay $500 extra for the dings, scratches and paint chipping that you couldve easily done yourself :-P

  • marshal are cheaper here compared to the US, but the hot rod deluxe in the US is only like £450 gbp, here in the UK its anyway between £650 and £800 gbp, because of shipping, but if I was to get a £800 marshal 401 that would be £600, and I like the fender better. The overdrive on the HRD 3 is alot tighter than previous versions, its good for soft rock, & to be honest I play country, so having a good clean channel is paramount, wish fender was UK though as I would buy american deluxe guitars lol

  • @cowfreak99 Vox, Orange and marshal are ready available in the UK, but I prefer fender for clean tones, vox dialed in are sparkly as fuck thou. Fender has no base in UK and nearest is holland, so they cost more to buy here comparably to US, but my hot rod deluxe 3 was worth every penny, easy to dial in and she gets the best sparkly spanky clean tones I have heard. I would swapvox, orange and marshal for fender anyday.

  • @cowfreak99 when them vox amps are dialed in wright they sound sparkly as fuck. Living in the UK Vox, Orange and marshal are ready available, but I prefer fender amps for clean tones, fender cost more in the UK compared to US as they don't have a UK base, its in holand, but my hot rod deluxe 3 was worth that bit extra as she purse spanky sparkling clean tones and shes easy to dial in.

  • @onarheim: google "rory gallagher stratocaster" ;)

  • thats wayayyyy too reliced for mee

  • Is an Alinco V pronounced V as in the letter, or V as in the roman numeral?

  • well spoted LightingBoy there sure was fret buzz on that fret ,I have my action real low and we play a lot of rock so it is not so noticeable,But with such a clean sound like this it stands out like a sore thumb.

    Get it sorted buddy

  • Alnico pickups have the best strat sound, but the 60Hz noise is so much quieter than my 6-year-old Squier Affinity Strat! I checked out an American Standard Strats a week ago; black body, white pickguard, maple neck and fretboard, gloss, my dream guitar but not enough money. My IDEAL dream guitar would be the same, only a left handed guitar re-strung righty and the strap button on the lower horn cutout, to emulate my Idol: the Great Jimi Hendrix!

  • @onarheim We stick together on that. I hate the idea of these big companies selling relic style guitars. It just makes the world more fake. Can't someone just wear their guitar's look over time the natural way? It's just a big lie. But, to each his own. It's just my opinion.
