I'm fairly sure the definition of "elitist" is believing one's "elite" opinion or group to be superior to others'.

So, no. If you are elitist, you don't respect others' opinions.

And if you respect others' opinions, you are not elitist.

There's a distinction between those who are well-versed in a series's or genre's cannon and those who are total jackasses to anyone who isn't.

so what if u have an oppinion, everyone has one, if someone can't handle someone elses oppinion, they are an elitest. There are some elitests out there who respect others oppinion and have a life like me. I just like anime but I have a farr greater knowledge of it than most.

i've always loved anime and im interested when ppl say they r just getting into it cuz i want 2 kno wat they like and its fun 2 show them new shows they havent heard of, ive made many friends this way, and really welcome "newbies"
