From 1964 - the b-side is also a Killer! "Highland Lassie" it's already posted here on youtube in another channel. Bob Reagan was a Canadian and part of the THE CANADIAN SWEETHEARTS Bob & Lucille. They recorded for DITTO (Eeny-Meeny Miney Moe), SOMA and A&M.

  • New one on me!

  • I really, really like this. I'm not sure how he could have gotten that wobbly sound on the guitar in 1964; in the later 60s it was considered a breakthrough when university composers figured out how to make a tape head wobble randomly to obtain this effect, though I think Raymond Scott figured it out in the 1950s and typically didn't tell anyone about it.

Anyway, perhaps Bob Regan had a *broken* tape echo, and was able to achieve the effect that way. It's a mystery.
