A ride aboard Edmonton Transit System #192 on route 135 Westmound / Downtown on April 21, 2009 just days before the possible last day of Trolley bus service in Edmonton before the entire system is shutdown for good. I will miss these buses greatly. These buses are GM Body model T6H-5307N which were fitted with the BBC electrics.

  • This is a great vid, it's the next best thing to being able to experience the trolleys in person. Details such as the operation of the rear doors with the green light are fascinating. How you're going to miss those trolleys. I hope there's some chance of a new system? I hear this has happened somewhere else in Canada?

  • Vancouver is the last remaining Trolley Bus System in Canada. I believe I heard something might happen in Laval, Quebec with a new system, but I kind of doubt it will happen. But here's hoping!

  • I've heard a few people refer to the sound of the air compressor in the BBC's as a "chirping cricket".

  • Great video!
