Forget all those dorks with their "i can do it faster than you" learned routines. Spending 2 years proving a sad point.

The pendragons are the most artistic and dedicated... Did houdini turn up for work in his office clothes ? Nah..

Pendragons, you look the best and you are.

    Fantastic.

magic isn't all about HOW a trick is done. it's an art form and its about HOW WELL a trick is done. good for you for figuring it out (or most likely reading or watching how it's done somewhere) anyone can do that. but could you do the trick, especially as well as this? for example, i know that a violinist pulls a bow over the strings of the violin to create music, but i couldn't play the violin to save my life.

Exactly. I did this for a talent show one time. My girlfriend (of the time) and I spent months on it, and it actually went real well. We got the transition time down to just a few seconds, but still pitiful compared to this.

That's why I love Metamorphosis, it's not really about figuring out how to do it, it's who can do it the best. What I see here is a level of timing and precision that amateurs like me just can't match (and won't, since I stopped doing magic a long time ago)

When the masked magician or others explain the trick, then it is actually helpful to the business. Very much so.

Teh reason being that the magicians who are exposed then turn around and create a new, better trick. It causes them to up their game, in a good way.

It's only the Criss Angel's of the world that start complaining and moaning about folks revealing the trick (I have no respect for that sad excuse for entertainment) while the David Copperfields of the world conjure up new ideas.

There is nothing mysterious about this trick, it's hardly even to be considered a trick: a three-year-old can figure out how it's done. What's impressive is the speed of execution.
