Alex (aka Andy,aka Abigail) & Bianca

**more ducks** **fully mature now**
Ok, so... we thought at first Alexander the Great was a good name for the duckie we named Abigail because it implied strong leadership and "A" duck has definately been the first in the pecking order around here. But we thought we had two girl duckies. As they started to grow we thought maybe Bianca was going to end up being a boy duck. We were wrong. Abigail turns out to be a boy duck. Curly tail feathers and low hoarse "quack" are the "tail tail" signs. However by the time we found out, we were used to calling him Abigail. Then we called him Andy for a short while. (Andy kinda sounds like Abby...) Since ducks live to be about 20 years old, Megan has decided that her first thought was best. Alexander the Great it is! Alex for short. So we have Alex and Bianca. Definately a couple of love birds. Alex is quite protective of Bianca and the two do everything side by side. Of course if you know that ducks are flock birds and that we have only two pet ducks, it makes sense that they would not leave eachothers side. But no if you are wondering... we have not yet seen any eggs. And just for your info, Pekin ducks are not good about tending to eggs or nesting... so Jr. Alex or Jr. Bianca are not likely to be found around here.

Very cute ducks! ^_^ In the town where i live is a park called 'Westerveld'and there are 3 white pekin ducks that are always together. They also never leave each other. I made lots of photo's and video's of them on my youtube site. I like ducks too a lot! ^_^
