wen i got this for christmas i had instalation Problems and the game wasnt even used it took me two weeks after my christmas break from school to get it to work
good thing i get off in feb so i can play it even more

im having the same problem.
im able to create a family... but when i go to play it crashes.
its not your memory... its EA Games.
i think if you uninstall and then reinstall it again, it should work.
it worked for me.

I am having trouble with my sims 3 shutting off my monitor and not coming back on. And whats werid is that it doesn't shut off my whole computer. And it will go dim and freeze really bad. Plz help!!
