@altfactor Hmm, I'm not sure now. ABC has its logo on the old black and white stuff, maybe things changed when they went into colour later-on?

@ajivins1 I thought Associated-British (who held the weekend franchise in Northern England and the English Midlands under the name ABC Weekend Television) for the commercial ITV network produced "the Avengers".
But ITC may have distributed the show to other countries.

@MarkB1ngham 'The Avengers used to be by ATV whereas 'Randall and Hopkirk' was of the ITC stable, however they ended-up filming at the same studios and Iv'e seen a picture of Roger Moore (The Saint) jumping out of a wardrobe on set at Linda Thorson! I think it was Thorson said that when they finished doing 'R & H', Mike Pratt let her have their kettle!
