Some fun footage from my first trip to Buenos Aires in 2006, hanging out in Vicente Lopez... In this video I'm flying my Jump (by Level One) through a dogstake (lines doubled back to the pilot), using 90# LaserPro Gold lines.

  • The technique with the lines is called "dogstaking" where the pilot's lines run through a dog screw upwind, so they're able to physically interact with the kite. ;)

Same lines and kite I often use, just 1/2 as long since it's running through the stake.

  • im a complete kiting nub so whats the deal with the pulley system or whatever he is using. just for a better/closer view?

im thinking of getting my first 2 line kite but im a little apprehensive about spending the kind of money it takes to get one on a kite. i currently fly/build single line kites and im interested in going for height but i also think this type of flying would be something im interested in.

  • @mxf7010g8k : You can get into a dual line kite for between $50 and $400, depending on the performance you're looking for... The kite in this particular video is called the "Jump", made by Level One for about $100.

I know they're available through thekiteshoppeDOTcom
