This is the Longhorn Music Camp Concert Band 1 of 2011 performing the Second Suite in F by Gustav Holst, directed by Dr. Robert Carnochan of the University of Texas. This very challenging program was put together with 6 days of rehearsal. I was the second chair clarinet in this band.

  • I truly enjoyed this rendition.. BUT, what about the song without words? It just felt a bit incomplete.

  • @nbpersona We already had a really long program- over 30 minutes, and we just didn't have the time to rehearse it with only 6 days of rehearsal.

  • @Fumbles9001 Also, please take into account, the players in the video are generally sophomores and juniors in high school. The suite was played in addition to Elegy by John Barnes Chance and Spangled Heavens by Donald Grantham.
