Juliano Mer-Khamis - New York Memorial

Juliano Mer-Khamis was the founder and director of the Jenin Freedom Theater in the West Bank of Palestine. He was assassinated by a masked gunman front of the Theater.on 4 April 2011. Juliano was an Israeli actor, director, filmmaker and political activist of Jewish and Christian Arab parentage.This New York City memorial was held at St. Paul's Church on May 4th, 2011.

Juliano spoke of a third, cultural intifada. His work provided encouragement, sense of self, and cultivated the creativity and leadership qualities of the young men and women of Palestine. For this he was murdered.`
