  • I wonder what would have happened if Frankie Knuckles had never moved to Chicago in 1977 would it still have been called house music?

  • house music all night long..............

  • @thelandingsmusic oh.. talking about cranking up the base, you should check out a tune called starlight noodle by silver apples from the late 60s... a tune way ahead of its time.

  • @iammagyar perhaps you could try: visages - fade to grey (12" extended version) for that mellow soul sound you love.

  • @thelandingsmusic absolutely.. we also might like to add - jean michel jarre, silver apple, delia derbyshire, laurie spiegel, raymond scott, tom dissevelt and kid baltan.. all of these artists were producing elektro long before detroit/chicago climbed aboard the genre.

  • @atlantichouse totaly agree but not forgetting giorgio morodor tangerine dream neu telex daf +tons of kruat rock bands and thousands of uk synth bands all from the 70s and early 80s.acid house simply took the idea put it in a warehouse and cranked the bass up to 11 and everyone was invited.

  • @atlantichouse and by the way i would genuinely love to hear some electro that has the mellow soul of a track like elements by psyche. if you can do that i'll believe that house, techno, and electro are all the same xD

  • @atlantichouse detroit was definitely innovation. carl craig, derrick may, juan atkins, they made music that kraftwerk turned around and tried to copy in the early 90s. ("The Mix"). MASSIVE respect to kraftwerk and the electro pioneers, but in detroit and chicago in 1985-1989 they pumped the sound to a while new level. plus ive never heard anyone say electro was invented in chicago. just because this music has roland drums doesnt mean anyone connected it to electro haha.

  • OH FUCK.

  • @Eightball69 not feelin it. good tune but i heard better..
