CULTURE - Glenn Hughes: the prince of rock.
He's played with dozens of bands over the years including ""Deep Purple,"" which was once considered the best rock group in the world. Now he's back with a new ""supergroup"" called Black Country Communion. Eve Jackson talks to the legendary Glenn Hughes about being the prince of rock, renewing his music and winning the battle against drugs and alcohol.

  • eqsmooth - Deep Purple became a decent band when Hughes and Coverdale joined. Glenn Hughes is one of the finest bassist/vocalists on the planet, and far from having lost it, Coverdale remains one of THE great vocalists and frontmen. Glenn wears a cross because he became a born-again christian after his recovery from years of alcohol and drug addiction.

  • Cannock isnt in the black country Glen

  • I would truly love to meet Glen Hughes as he is a rock survivor. This musician has helped to keep rock music alive, especially as he worked with Deep Purple and other wonderful bands.

  • The MKIII lineup would be a dream concert. To see those guys play again would be something to see. But for now I'm more than content to listen to Glenn's new band which is sounding great.
