  • Where u bought the screen? u need any special screwdriver? thanks

  • @S7157e I bought the screen on ebay. I would recommend a complete front housing with digitizer that also could be found on ebay. In that case there is no need for using glue except from when mounting the earpiece. The scredriwer is a mini-torx, easy to find in a hardware store.

  • The phone was ok. Had to charge the battery. The phone is working, but the glass i dirty and the digitizer sometimes gets stuck - similar behaviour as when trying to navigate with wet fingers. I'm looking for a complete front housing with frame, digitizer, speaker and glass. That would be a good spare part to have in stock since this is my fourth broken defy.

  • OMG i just replaced my glass/digitizer and everything went perfect... i couldn't be any happier... I might post the video of me repairing my phone but i ll have to edit it first to cut off all the waiting while removing old adhesive and trying to figure out things.

What i used: a new genuine digitizer from ebay (just the glass, not the frame) and adhesive stick for Motorola Defy from ebay again!

Total cost = 25 euros including shipping etc

  • @TORGILSVENSSON very helpful the videos, now i'm sure i can do it by myself.

i'm buying a complete front housing how had you recomended, but is it like the original?

    gorila glass?

i'm afraid about the speaker too, it comes with one incluse? i dont wanna to keep mine, its begining to have problems.. so i dont know if i'll have to buy a speaker buzzer apart too. ;s

    VERY THX :D

  • @petermit19 fuck!, my screen broke today too! i'm thinking about to buy one of it too.

will we have to use any kind of glue buying all the front part? i think is so better no use glue, and my speakers were begining to have problems.

    did you buy yours?

  • @torgilsvensson my defy's screen glass broke today! is this the housing you are talking about? Does this include the speaker above mentioned?

USA TOUCH SCREEN DIGITIZER MOTOROLA Defy MB525 + Frame + EARPIECE SPEAKER BUZZER

Search it on eBay to see the listing please and confirm that this is ok to buy! Thank you very much!

  • @S7157e t6 screwdriver

  • just replace my broken digitizer, make sure the glue is dry before you power on your pone, the heat of the phone can vaporize the glue and leave permanent parks on your phone, mine has a finger print cuz i did not wait enough time for the glue to dry, i try to remove the print with no results does anybody knows how to remove it?

  • Fail.

  • Shit ._. ... your defy doesn't work anymore :(

    R.I.P!

  • Did u made ur cellphone work again ? lol dude, anyway thanks for all the trouble was really helpfull if wasn't 4 ur video I would have to search for somebody to do it to me, so thnkx.

  • I' ve just finished with the replacement of my broken digitizer following these videos. Thanks a lot for the uploading; you helped a lot!!! I would like only to say three things which might help others: First, I used a special adhesive stick, bought on ebay under the title "waterproof adhesive stick for Motorola Defy ME525 MB525". Second, I used pry tools to be more gentle. Third, to detach the broken digitizer and the old stick from the front housing I heated it with a hairdryer.
