Auld Lang Syne (Ocarina)

Well, I just got my first ocarina (the 12 hole tenor from STL) one day before the filming of this video. I know it's a bit early (or is it late?) in the year to be playing Auld Lang Syne, but I needed to find something easy to play that actually sounds good.

Yeah, it's not perfect, but I think I did pretty good, considering I only had one day's worth of experience with the instrument.

I edited the sound a bit to be easier on the ears. The raw audio from the mic was a bit... well... bad.

The reason I bend over like that is to improve the sound of the high notes. The technique is called an acute bend.

And yes, ocarinas are real. They're not just a plot device from Zelda. In fact, they're one of the oldest instruments known to man.
