http://www.successpowered.com - Sometimes getting motivated is easy, but staying motivated can be a problem. This is why people give up on their goals and it can become a cycle if it is allowed to continue.

How many people do you know who have several projects started at any given time and do not seem to finish any of them? They start one with high enthusiasm and before you know it, they have abandoned this project and started another.

The enthusiasm they had when they started has waned and they are no longer motivated to finish this project.

Perhaps they lost the optimism they had when they started the project. Maybe they were surrounded by people who told them they would never finish this project.

Negativity will kill motivation and the more negative thoughts that are planted in your head; the less you will get accomplished.

For example, an opening is going to be coming up for a position that you are very interested in. You begin thinking about what you can do to be considered the best person for this position. Then your friend or a co-worker tells you that you will never get the position and you are just wasting your time.

You may not listen at first, but they keep telling you it is not going to happen - someone else will get the position. Soon you begin to believe this because their negative thoughts have entered your head. Instead of staying motivated, you lose your motivation altogether and do not even apply for the position.

Allowing other people's negativity to extend to you is one way of keeping yourself from attaining goals. You are much better off to spend your time around enthusiastic and goal-oriented people.
There are two kinds of people - optimists and pessimists. Staying motivated is much easier when you are around an optimist. Being optimistic will provide motivation and motivation will allow you to succeed.

In addition to optimism, dedication and focus are two more aspects that will make staying motivated much easier. Remaining dedicated to a project that you have started will keep you focused and willing to see it through to the end.

What will follow is the satisfaction of a job well done. Keep your motivation flowing by focusing on the big picture and realizing this is how others have made it to where they wanted to be. They did not give up and this allowed them to realize their goals.

  • @HowToGetMotivated its stupid. if u don't have motivation for whatever psychological reasons, then u often don't have dedication or focus either. someone with a lot more common sense than you once said that usually the difference between an optimist & a pessimist, is that the pessimist will have more information. you are a fucking con artist. and not a very good one, its as clear as daylight. preying on suffering people, you sicken me.
