Broken Social Scene really are a creative group. What other band could turn a free concert into a movie about a love story? "This Movie Is Broken" centres on a free outdoor gig in 2009, and within that concert, a love story of two friends who become lovers.

We had the amazing opportunity to speak with Bruno (Greg Calderone)n Caroline ( Georgina Reilly) and Brendan Canning about making the film.

  • @ilovemusichearheart

    i think it was sarcasm

  • Do you actors not like broken social scene, If so. That really bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're bestest :)

  • i started watching the movie at the part where they got their backstage passes, and it was terribly boring. It was less a movie and more a very high quality movie of the concert. felt no emotional connection to the characters, I'd had enough by the time the two guys started making out. GREAT BAND THOUGH!

  • I agree with webster670. I had no idea who BSS were b4 seeing this film but the live footage is great. The story is weak and the chracters don't grab. I like the downbeat ending.

  • I love the idea, but I think it was a weak story with characters who are hard to like. BUT - the concert footage is awesome.

  • I wouldn't say HUGE critical acclaim...
