This video shows the appaling conditions for slaughter horses at this large auction. Horses were beaten with wooden sticks and crushed by heavy metal gates.

wow this made me cry: Do you know how bad I wanted to run up there and free all of those poor inocent horses. These people need to be punished for their cruel actions.

I have also been to this sale and the video is correct. The sounds the horses make when running through the doors is aweful. The run into the sale ring so fast that they sometimes fall and come skidding in on their sides. The ring ass holes hit them twice with their sticks and out they go. The kill buyers get the pleasure of the front seats set aside for them and the horses are in the ring maybe 20 seconds. Thats all you have. Thats all they have. The Amish are non tax paying pieces of shit.

Until the greedy breeder stop the overflow this will continue. Biggest provider of horses for this horrendous fate is the American Quarter horse breeder and the Thoroughbred Industry. It is sickening. I live in Ocala Fl where horses were the number one means of work for a long time. Most of thse folks have no regard for the horses they produce.... only what money they can derive from them. This particular tape should be shown on the Kalona news and get lots of close ups of those involved.

Holy shit how come that place hasnt been shut down yet??? What a waste of beautiful animals. There were at least a few in this vid that I would buy and break myself. I live in NM and I always go the seasonal horse sales in Los Lunas and they NEVER treat their horses like that!!!

This movie made me cry :( I can't believe people would treat animals soo cruel. Everyone of those horses could've been a special pet or riding horse (if sound and healthy enough) for anyone but unfortunately they weren't given the chance. Also shame on the auction, Canada needs to get far better standards put into place and follow the United State's lead by banning slaughter.

I have been to kalona many times. I am to the age where i have come to terms that I can't save them all even though i try. We must all realize that there are some things we cannot change and although it is cruel, it just might be the best option for them~! Bless all those who have traveled down slaighter lane!

i go to them with my family and the side they sale the cheep horses on is so small one of the horses was in the ring and another one ran into the door cause it was scared and wen it came into the ring it had a big cut and the guy kept whiping them in the face it mad my family and i realy mad
