Raw Cheesy Kale Chips get the featured role as we watch step by step instructions on how to prepare this popular Raw Food Vegan Snack. With the aid of a 9 tray Dehydrator, we learn techniques and tips while preparing this "Cheesy" (without cheese) Crunchy, Nutritional Yeast, very healthy snack.

I usually double and even triple it, because once it's made... it doesn't last very long, since everyone eats it up.

The Cheesy Kale Chips Recipe:
• 1 bunch of Organic Curly Kale (washed, large stems removed, torn into bite size pieces)

Coating:
• 1 cup Raw Organic Cashews, (soaked 2 hours)
• 1 Organic Bell Pepper (Red, Yellow or Orange — (seeded and chopped)
• 1 Lemon (juiced)
• 3 Tablespoons Organic Nutritional Yeast
High Vibe's Website: http://www.highvibe.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1627
• 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt (use more or less to taste)
• 1 large Organic Jalapeño ((seeded)
• 1 Bunch of Organic Cilantro (chopped)

Put coating ingredients in Vitamix or food processor, add cilantro at end. Blend until smooth. Using your hands, massage coating onto kale pieces getting it inside of curls. Put on teflex sheets (dont worry about flattening them, theyre better bunched up — I removed the drawer above to make room) and dehydrate at 105 overnight or until coating is dry. Slide onto mesh screens and dehydrate until very crispy.

NOTE: mine just took about another 4 hours after overnight and flipping. YUM!

  • Please IGNORE the advice given about B12 at the start of this video. This is very wrong! And then stressing we should wash all the healthy bacteria and soil off the food is MADNESS, this is what will be detrimental to your B12 levels!

A fun video and sorry to be critical but I had to cringe when listening to this advice.

  • @0slam You can eat dirt if you want to, to each his own. LOL!

  • this is great...where can I find that dehydrator?

  • @ASLstudentUSM Hi, I'm using the Excalibur Dehydrator 9-Tray, I got it at the company's website.

  • @pandamadness1 to be be equally vague: You are wrong, home grown greens should not be washed at all. Funny video, BAD advice.

  • The best thing is LOCAL food . commercial organic is still not as nutrient as Local as most farmers pick when ripe. Take a organic tomato still very much laking take an all natural LOCAl tomato way better!

  • @thugricanz But still not as healthy as eating fresh fruits and vegetables. This is good to make once in a while. ^^

  • @chevon1920 Not if cooked below 105. It is considered raw because it is still alive.

    ^^

  • @0slam Lol. Seems like a good recipe though. I want to try it once I get a dehydrate machine.

  • @thugricanz Thanks :) finally someone with a bit of common sense, unlike the uploader (siegel2001) who has a dirt phobia LOL

  • @0slam I agreed!! I heard not to wash your fruits or vegetable if organic. :) I never wash my organic food.

  • I'm buying a dehydration soon just to make this :D

  • Also, this can't be raw cause the dehydrator cooks it. I have no problem with that though, seems like yummy recipe.
