  • @fixedgearforlife Terrible review, I agree, but I own this bag and I actually use it for what it is made for. It really is a great bag. I have carried upwards of 60-80lbs of gear in it. I, however, did get the waist belt and a chrome accessory pouch to finish it off. The bag is super expensive and I was very reluctant to buy it, but I am glad I did.

  • All the pockets use zippers and they don't even look like strong zippers. This lady is probably just reading off a script because she doesn't sincerely sound like she knows what the hell she's talking about.

  • You miss one key USP for cyclists - it's waterproof. Also no mention of whether it has a laptop sleeve or not, presumably not as it's not mentioned. I don't think this reviewer really knows much about the product, for example, what make of zipper does it use, YKK or some unknown brand - validates your comments about sturdy zippers? This is in your own words a serious piece of kit at a serious price, so the details are really important!

  • Intriguing & original design. Some issues, though. First is the shoulder straps do not have very much padding. I've heard this can make the bag uncomfortable with heavy loads. Next, it doesn't work very well with small items, as there's no internal organization (like inner pockets or webbing). Lastly, the back side lacks contoured padding. Many recent backpack designs have padding that helps keep the pack raised enough from wearer's back for effective ventilation--major plus on hot days.
