@ojisanneo Generic? You mean it is of a genre? And yes it has a beat that is repetitive, as opposed to a beat that changes? The lyrics have structure, so yes they are repeated. I feel like you have no idea what pop music is. Times Like These is one of the best rock songs of the past decade. The whole point of Foo Fighters, just like Nirvana before them, is that a song doesn't have to be complicated to be memorable and addictive. Kurt and Grohl brought the simplicity of punk to mainstream music.

@3dudeswhocube Shinedown is Post-grunge, as is this song. Post grunge is the combination of Grunge and as you say "pop" taking more popular trends and mixing it in. Foo Fighters started the Post-Grunge movement, seeing as the singer WAS in one of the 4 biggest Grunge bands of all times.
