Madison, AKC trial, 16&17 August 2008

Madison is a superstar!!

& the very BEST part of the trial is...Maddie had FUN in every single run! It's SO rewarding to see her flying around with a big grin on her face!! She's really picking up speed and confidence. If we can get this WP thing nailed, we'll be good to go!! (Of course we could use some work on basic handling, but you catch my drift!) I am just tickled pink about my little Mini's performance this weekend.

Some people there hadn't seen her since I put her into pre-retirement (to mature a bit!) back in 2005. I got a few "who is that?"s from them. Jaws fell to the floor when they realized it really WAS Maddie that they saw playing 'big girl agility' out there. I'm so glad I never truly gave up on my Maddie. I knew she had it in her to love agility. So happy to see that happening :)

The Saturday JWW course must have been the hardest Novice JWW course ever. Then compare to Sunday's big loop - it's like night and day! We would have Q'd in JWW if not for our little weave issue, but I am SUPER pleased with our runs -- all of them!

I left in the sound on Saturday's JWW run so you can get at least somewhat of the effect of the crowd's amusement at Maddie's antics! As you can see -- she got markedly better each and every time we went into the ring!!

What a way to wrap up Maddie's first time ever showing in AKC...a 1st & Q!!!

Wow, Emily. She looks really good in some of those runs! I just think it's so strange that she can be so ON in some runs and then do another run where it looks like she's never sequenced in her life! Terrier thing???

Maddie's one *special* girlie! Sometimes she rides the short bus to the startline, sometimes not. That's all :')

JRTs really are clowns in little white costumes!!! They're a never-ending supply of pure joy :')

I don't know about Jesse, but Maddie's a bump on a log at home. She's occupying my lap at he moment, just snoozing away. & I'd venture to guess she's been snoozing all day while I've been at work. What a lazy dog! :-P

well maddie seems to be the akc crowd pleaser =) im so glad she loves agility so much reminds me of that shirt on beauty of the beasts "we may not always Q but at least we're entertaining" you and maddie will always be such a fun team to watch way to go on the Q and 1st

Oh my she is such a terrier! haha, Maddie is the cutest thing out there! I'm glad she didn't go into permanent retirement either!! Awesome job!! =)
