SINGULARITY 2045 UTOPIA - Manifesto

The Singularity is expected to happen by the year 2045 at the latest. ► Our behaviour, viewpoints, and actions in the present create the future. I don't upload to YouTube very often because in addition to other reasons I don't have good video editing-creation software, but you can watch lots of interesting videos in my favorites/playlists section.

The simple power of AWARENESS can easily create technological utopia.

Awareness of the Singularity increases investment in appropriate areas of science and technology via suppliers reacting to public demand.

We need huge investment in science and technology. Huge investment will make the Singularity happen sooner instead of later. Prior to 2045, approximately in the years 2020 and 2030, we will begin seeing dramatic advances throughout the world. The Singularity is a technological utopia. The Human Race will be radically transformed. The Singularity is the most powerful event in the history of life on Earth. Politicians are sadly unaware of how the future will radically change us. I assume you have just come across the Singularity meme for the very first time. I advise you to read Mike Treder's articles at the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies (IEET), and then you'll change your outlook.

I used to believe like you did, in a near-term Singularity that would radically change the human condition, when I first read Kurzweil's Law of Accelerating Returns, but then I searched for arguments to the contrary, and find them more convincing.

@OxygenBurglar No I haven't come across the Meme for the first time. The evidence for the Singularity happening no later than 2045 is very compelling. The speed of progress is continually increasing. In the year 2011 YouTube was only 6 years old. A lot can change in a short period of time. Each month in year 2011 we're hearing about radical scientific breakthroughs such as 3D-printing of bones, blood-vessels, and other body parts. How will our world have changed in the year 2021? Think about it.

I wish I could agree with you and Kurzweil, but 2045 seems way too early for the Singularity to happen. I'm not expecting it until 2095 at the very earliest.

@OxygenBurglar Another year will soon pass. We now see how there are apps for everything (even detecting skin cancer) thus maybe people are starting to wonder where iPads and smart-phones are heading towards. How smart can our smart-phones become? IBM intends to shrink a supercomputer to the size of a sugar-cube by the year 2021 and that sugar-cube-sized supercomputer will have a low-power consumption. In the future smart phones will be microscopic and they will repair our bodies perhaps?

Mhh... I am currently 17 years old, by today's standards of average life expectancy in developed countries, my death thru aging should be around 2070-2080... I guess i have a good shoot for an indefinite lifespan? (I think death is the worst thing that can happen to the individual, so I'd be really glad to know I'm going to be able to avoid that)

Hello @drago884, yes there is reason to hope, the evidence points towards a vastly better future but most importantly you need to realize you can shape the future via your expectations, which will cause you to act in a specific manner, thus via your actions arising from what you expect... you can help create the world of tomorrow vastly better than the world of today. Technology constantly shows us how people are being empowered. Don't let the empowerment go to waste.

@drago884 Intelligence Amplification will solve all the problems associated with vacuous personalities. The blight of mediocre, stupid, and empty people will soon vanish. The Singularity is not merely about immortality; principally the Singularity is an intelligence explosion thus there will be no mindless-inanity in the future.

When I hear all these quasi-hipster failfags talking about how they are going to 'live forever' I pray the New World Order achieves its goal of exterminating 5 and a half billion people.

I mean, most of these people in my mid-20's age bracket are so empty and useless, I HATE to think that they might be around forever! The HORROR! THE HORROR! EXTERMINATE ALL THE BRUTES!

@OxygenBurglar Only time will tell. I think we will have a better idea in the year 2020 of how quick or slow things will progress but I think it is possible we could see a Singularity in 2040 or even 2035... 2045 at the latest

No the concept of the Singularity is not new to me, I've read sci-fi for many years and over the last five years I've been reading-up on science fact.

I believe my view is balanced. I think a 2045 Singularity is inevitable, but only time will tell. I was already aware of IEET and Mike's articles do not give me any info to contradict my view.
