Ace Combat: Assault Horizon First Playthrough - Mission 1: 'Nightmare'

Just so everybody knows, I completed the campaign only ten minutes before I started uploading this video. Naturally, being an AC nut, I had to play it on the hardest difficulty available at the time.

I have died numerous times during this playthrough, but when it comes to actual mission failures, I will simply black the screen out and cut to the moment I actually succeed. I'll also add a humorous 'X Mission Failures Later' text.

P.S. LOL, I messed up the last Flanker and shot him down before I could use 4AAMs XD

what can you do in free flight cause im gettin this game soon and i just want to know what you get after beating the game.

@MWgame1993 If you're after Free Flight, then you're going to be disappointed. Completing the campaign makes the PAK-FA and Mi-24 Hind playable and unlocks Free Mission amongst other things. However, there is no mode in which you can aimlessly fly around the maps.

Oh, can you select planes other than the F-22A for this mission in free flight?

@COD04MW Unfortunately, no. The Raptor with 4AAM is the only aircraft available in Free Mission.

@billforigno I found Ace a great way to prepare for multiplayer. Some missions are infuriating on Ace, but tons of fun. Akula being one of them.

@Warhawk325 Weather or not that means start a new game or play elite on the free missions is irrelevant now; I finished the game on Elite for my first playthrough and I don't want to even touch Ace for most of the missions, especially Akula. :'( I miss AC6.

@billforigno Gotta do the campaign on Elite to unlock Ace. And Ace difficulty makes Elite look like a cakewalk

If you complete the campaign on Pilot difficulty, can you replay the missions from free mission on Elite in order to unlock Ace, or do you have to start a new game on Elite to get that difficulty?

If these renegade ruskies went up against Mobius 1, Gryphus 1, Demon Lord, Razgris team, Scarface One, Nemo, The Red Devil(female Eurasian Irish manga character), and Garuda team as a full squadron.  They've pissing and pooping in their shorts,if they heard of them as being high kill ratio aces, especially Nemo who's an AI software pilot(movie 'Stealth' fighter. anyone).

one question, is this how actual dogfights are performed? or its just in the game? cause the maneuvers are awesome

@GuyInGhillieSuit Well, I am also a hardcore AC fan, and yeah, while the game lacks in good story and characters, and the DFM use is kinda... Forced, but trust me, you're going to love the fast-paced action and enemy planes shattering into pieces once you can enjoy the game. The MP is not bad either, only lack of dedicated servers makes you run risk into random disconnects and lags. But I still like the MP.

Overall, it's good to take a break from mainstream FPS with this :)
