Oh yes, as someone who's tutored little kids in reading, this is very accurate! And, also, pretty damn adorable. :)

@Velociactor You can't really say that seeing as he is the person who made the character so if people are doing it different then they are doing it wrong.

@Velociactor I think there are multiple factors involved in his interpretation of Leaf. Being a pre-school teacher, actor & someone who was home-schooled from 1st grade through high school myself, I assure you his performance is remarkable accurate! There are children with personality quirks, short attention spans, & excessive amounts of energy & all of these things can be magnified by being home-schooled. Due, in some cases, to a lack of social interaction outside your home life (i.e. Siblings)

@Velociactor So? I think that could be an interpretation of the character. There is nothing in the script that says Leaf is or isn't mentally handicapped. It's reality- some kids are autistic/mentally handicapped so maybe that is the direction he took it in. It just depends on the actor and the way you want interpret the role.
dude..... ITS SUPPOSED TO SEEM LIKE THAT!!!!!!!

@Velociactor Not only did he originate the role, but he helped CONCEPTUALIZE it with the creators. I like it, I've personally met a number of kids who are just as spacey and out there as JTF's Leaf.
