@DoctorWhoFanatic1997 urm when they were hallucinating from the drug sherlock saw Moriarty as the hound "his worst fear" because that's what the hound appears to be .the one who killed the father was bob frankland( bob also dies from stepping on a land mine),john tries to get sherlock to admit he was wrong but sherlock wasn't having it , john relises when he thought he saw the hound it was realy sherlock doing an experiment and at the end it shows mycroft letting Moriarty go that's bout it :)
