I heard this song yesterday on my local college jazz station after not hearing this in decades! I didn't even know it was a Donny Hathaway song until the DJ announced it at the end. I would have been 12 or 13 years old when this song came out -- it's been at least 30-35 years since I last heard this. Wow! Where has the time gone? I'm glad someone had the good sense to post this classic gem here on YT. Thanks so much!

I've only ever heard the George Benson version played on the guitar. Love this version too, electric/synth piano sound is just such a cool jazz musical piece of equipment.What a player, what a tune. Thanks for posting

I think folks are always suprised at how talented some of these artists are from the 60's and 70's. Many started off as musicians and then began to sing. A perfect example is someone like Donny Hathaway..and he is only the tip of the iceberg....I think Marvin Gaye was a drummer before he took hold of the mike....
