Five Year YouTube Anniversary!

So... March 9th was my five year YouTube anniversary. This tribute was supposed to be FINISHED and uploaded by then, but due to multiple complications and setbacks that tend to occur when you attempt to throw a video together at the last minute, it was delayed. But that doesn't make it any less special. It just means it doesn't get to say it was uploaded on March 9th. :[

In racking my brain to come up with a song to use for this tribute video, I finally settled on Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire", and decided I would rewrite my own lyrics. That's when this originally-thought-to-be-small-project turned into a massive-overwhelming-task-of-tedious-frustration. But I prevailed! I am rather proud of my new lyrics, and I am glad I will now have this video to look back on years from now as a reminder of these treasured times.

(The song isn't entirely chronologically correct, but in a general sense, it is. Oh, and I really wanted to try to re-record the awful vocals I did for this, but I got sick this weekend, so that just did not happen. It is what it is. As always, I apologize for yet again making a video that involves me singing in it.)

Thank you Matt! :) I can't tell you how much I appreciate your loyalty of sticking by me all these years. Hehe, I agree that we need more "zany dated Mel"! And hopefully we will with this next project I've got on my mind. I'm hoping to make somewhat of a sequel to my recent Awkward Made-For-Internet Movie, but it's currently in the pre-pre-pre-PRE-production stages, lol, so don't hold your breath for it anytime SOON. It's going to be a HUGE undertaking, but I'm looking forward to it.
