A piano sketch by Dj Charles Benson

My first video, at last!
You may be surprised to hear (and somewhat to see)
a dj playing a piano:
it is something I'd like to achieve in the next years.
I never played piano seriously before my mother bought one for my sister to play
(it's a 1961 Hoffmann&Kuhne made in Dresden, Deutsche Demokratik Republik, imagine that; she found it in a musical re-seller store)

This is an improvised sketch for a composition
which may never be finished:
since my memory is a bit unreliable for chords
and I can't write music,
I decided to film my fingers playing the piano
in order to record the music and have a lasting memory
of the keys I pushed.
I made variations on a note sequence I found
on the piano keyboard the week before,
but soon I found myself playin' something new:
I loved it, so I kept on pushing the same keys
trying to make variations on the bass line
(piano's left side) and working on the sostenuto pedals
at the same time

Probably I had Joe Hisaishi in mind
when I was sitting there,
although I doubt I shall write so great tracks like his

Alright but, jokes aside, no one is forced to see it,

so I was surprised to see a comment from a channel never seen before.

At this point I am very curious to know how did you get here 0_0,

I thought my channel was quite unknown.

Obviously I don't think is a masterpiece,

it only contains ideas that could be developed;

think about that some people in music "business"

make entire albums in this style.....
