Dr. Hansimian's Hurricane Forecast

The U.S. government's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has been wrong about its hurricane forecasts three out of the last four years, and 7 out of the last 11 years. The National Center for Public Policy Research believes there may be a better way, so we commissioned a forecast by our own climate expert, Dr. James Hansimian. I just removed a couple of comments that make racist remarks about the president of the United States. There is NOTHING racist about this video and it is not in any way about the president, about whom no racist comments should ever be made.

I had Dr. Hansimian in college - the guy is brilliant. His dad was an economic advisor to FDR and served on the Fed under the Carter Administration. It wasn't until he got one of his three dice stuck in his ear one afternoon that the Fed was compelled to lower the prime rate to under 12. The Hansimian family has a long tradition of public service - kind of like the Kennedys just not as famous because they never drowned a co-ed in their chimp mobile.

Liking his wiggling ears at 0:55 and 1:05. I'd trust him on forecasting hurricanes but I wouldn't trust him around my bananas.

er... um... 6-8 named hurricanes? 6-8 named hurricanes making landfall? 6-8 'major' hurricanes? What basin are we talking about Dr. Hansimnian? There isn't enough here to compare with the real predictions. Also, are you going to compare against the global warming skeptic Dr. Gray's predictions too?

I work on boats...our owners are asking our take on the 'season'. Once 'The Season' hits, its N W S,, Jeff Masters and the FSU websites on a daily basis. This was an entertaining yet accurate vision on what could happen...The next installment could be Dr H. staring into a crystal ball...Loved the video. Not to make light of the predictions,.the bottom line, be prepared , take it seriously but remember - mother nature has her own agenda..Anything can happen.
