  • @marcusebrawner Yep.. dream crushed because degree required

  • My husband got an interview for a position as park naturalist. How is the hiring process? He applied with the state of FL. Don't know if it is a state or federal position, but he's an Army officer so the bg check, education, languages, etc. are looking fine so far.

  • You can have an associate's degree in Business or Public Administration, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Biology, etc and land a forestry job but a bachelor's degree always looks better to employers. Hope someday to get my master's.

  • a bach, deg. welp there goes this idea

  • @pianomanmaestro

You betcha, I often see advertisiements on USAJOBS for pilots in Alaska for NPS.

  • @mrspollitz

You usually don't have to live in park housing, but who would turn down a house INSIDE a park like Yellowstone? Even Donald Trump couldn't buy that!

  • i've heard that if you are a park ranger you have to live in the park in the house they provide..is this true or just a rumor? and thanks for the great videos!

  • @arno1996

i know to be a ranger for the National Park Service you have to be a citizen since its a federal job and therefore paid with tax money, but I'm not sure about being a ranger for state parks

  • @kingX777 the only people that have a true right to this land are the Natives... everyone else are outsiders. So, the whole get out of "my" country thing is all just ingnorance, great point.

  • I love state parks and national parks. Especially Arches and The Dry Tortugas.
