I have this camera and love it Also have the Canon HV30 I prefer the JVC

I would rather get a Canon HV30 or HV20. Cheaper and better. This cam is good though. It's just not as good in darker enviroments, it does not film in 24/25 fps, it doesn't have that good white balance. All those things does HV30/20 have, and it's alot cheaper. I've got this, and I was dissapointed. You can achieve some awesome shots at times though, like in this video. It has it's qualities, not all that bad :)
