Another Century's Episode R: Macross Quarter Gameplay

Yes, you read that title correctly. This is an extra mission unlocked when you play through the Macross Frontier story mode. The unit has no fixed pilot or upgradable stats, but it does have a maxed out Tension stat.

The Tension meter goes up automatically throughout the entire stage. You get 5 minutes to destroy as many Vajra as possible, with the maximum rank at 270 kills. Your basic guns do well, as does the one tension cost Missile Attack, but the melee attack is slow and unwieldy, more of a hindrance than anything else.

Near the end, I use the Macross Cannon, which has recoil you must actively control at full charge. I have plans to do a review/Let's Play in the near future, but I want to clear out the remaining campaigns first to know what I'm doing and be able to show all the stages.

@zeratul7975 Strangely, even though they easily could have, they didn't add any sequence to the main story where you could use it. There is even a part where the camera movement kind of tries to trick you into thinking you will get to use it, but no.

@superzilla784 customization rivalling armored core...i don't think FromSoftware would compromise their flagship series by doing that.

@gldni17 i loved this game, but 2 thing's that it was missing was VS Player and the cutscean for when you launch.

i also would of liked more Pilot Change option's.

oh well...... there's alway's the 5th and 6th game, but one thing i would love to see is a Custom Mech option. to be able to make your own mech and have as many option's as you do in ArmoredCore, but that's unlikely to ever happen.
