This is the first in a series of tutorials on how to play bass to John McVie basslines as played with Fleetwood Mac.

The first tutorial is for the song Don't Stop - which of course is from the Rumours album.
This song is a straightforward shuffle 8th note rock bass line - the thing with McVie bass lines is that they are PERFECT for beginners because they are usually relatively simple. But there are also great lessons for intermediates because McVie is perfectly capable of playing much more complex lines - but instead he chooses to play for the song, and not to display what he can actually do. Very important lesson.
