I love David Benoit's music. He's one of my earlier piano influences when I started learning the instrument some 12 years ago.
Benoit is great, but I have to say this is not a very good cover of the song.
His chords are loose. He tries to perform rhythm and improvisation at the same time. He renders the other musicians useless. He totally ignores the drummer during the improvisation.
I have complete CD collections of David Benoit at home. I like him..but this song here simply missed the mark.
