I agree with the fact that most all forms of dance are influenced by some other form or style but popping came on scene wayy before turfing so which one could have influenced the other? When I think of popping I think of the old school scene, the boogaloo and popping and locking etc. As far as differences and similarities go... I feel there are more differences than similarities between popping and turfing. But all in all I respect all forms of dancing. Also TRACK NAME PLEASE??

I'm no expert, but turfing seems to have a lot more gliding. Retro ventures into flexing here as well. Popping also incorporates tutting on occasion, which Retro doesn't feature here.
I think all hip-hop dance styles influence every other hip-hop style in one form or another. Although some may say that *when* a particular dance style was established implies top-level influence, styles evolve so much over time that it's really difficult for any street style to have not been influenced by others.

there was actually no turfing here whatsoever. this was a collection of illusions created by poppers. The only thing not having to do with popping was the bonebreaks and the only thing having to do with turf was the gliding. If you watch traditional turf you will see a much different story. It looks completely different from this and has little to do with popping at all. they were in fact both born out of the oakland boogaloo movement though
