300hp is that all from a 3.5 Litre.

On the sandown 1984 clip they say the BMW 635csi had 390hp, so why has it lost power for 1985?

Does anyone know what the top speed is for this car, acceleration and torque?

it had only 300 bhp probably because it was a standard engine. it was good engineering to have 300 bhp from a 3.5 n/a engine back in the 80s

@21Wook75 In 1984 the category was run under Group C rules. From 1985 the cars were run under Group A, as in Europe. Group C rules were cloudy in some areas, and the manufacturers lobbied CAMS every year for bigger and better bits. For example, in 1984 they were allowed to run the 24 valve head from the BMW M1. The car had good brakes, decent power, but had to run too heavy. In '85 it was a good package and Richards dominated the ATCC. It was probably doing about 260 km/h on Conrod.

The reason that the 635 that Moff tested had only 300hp was that it was the Group A version which was much closer to standars. The Group C version from 1984 had a 24 valve head among other improvements, hence the extra 90hp.

Top speed? For the road car I'm not sure but the 1984 Group C version did about 265kmh in race trim while the 1985 Group A topped out at about 250-255.
