This is a review from the perspective of this being a VC game and not a review of the NES original.

  • its easy to beat the game in one continue:

find the warp zone in level 1-2 and take it to world four

find the warp zone in 4-2 and take it to world eight, beat world eight and then your done

  • I personally don't class that as beating the game though, if someone gave you Zelda and put you upto Gannon, and you beat him, would you say you've beaten the game?

  • my lil bro has something to say to you:

    your reviews are amazing!

  • Tell him thanks then :)

  • @DEIVION212

well... no but if you prefer to beat it normaly, good for you but I prefer to do it like that

    thx for replying though

  • *Continued* remember My Dad complaining about pressing jump and it not jumping back when we had an NES (and when he was still alive) and I was just a little kid, because its something I remember fondly because that was something that happened and that he'd complain about a lot when he played, any idea why when I press jump that it won't jump and Mario will fall into a pit? I mean there has to be a reason it happened to both Me and My Dad so what's up with the jump button not responding?

  • I still remember all the times My Dad would play this and complain that he pressed the jump button and it didn't jump at all, he fell into tons of pits that way, and I can understand because I also have that problem, I'll press jump and Mario won't jump at all and fall right into a bottomless pit, seems it also does that with other Virtual Console games like the DKC trilogy but I clearly remember My Dad complaining about pressing jump and it not jumping back when we had an NES *2bcont.*

  • Eventhough I got used to the awful fast music after getting used to the slow Lost Levels music, it stays the same and moves at normal speed sadly the sound effects are too sped up so most of the chimes when you finish a stage are lost.

Aswell as Marios jumping seems to be heavy.

I wonder why my download turned out that way was it a converting problem on Nintendos end, or was it because this game had Duck Hunt on it aswell and Nintendo couldn't give us a perfect emulated version?

  • Yeah I have a question...

When I downloaded the game off the Wii Shop channel and paid 500 points to get it, the game plays music seemed to be in 16:9 format and sped up which emulates like a rom which isn't the actual NES game...

Unlike the Lost Levels NES game which originally ran off the disk system which was in 4:3 at 60FPS and was a perfect conversion to the Wii shop channel.

I even deleted and redownloaded but no luck.... game still has fast music.

  • tell him that this has to be one of the awsome games ever played
