The Thin Line Between Love and Hate [[chapter 50]]

Angela: Kelsey, why didnt you tell anyone that was going on?

Kelsey: I didnt think that you would believe me.

Joe: we would have. We could have helped you. Kelsey. You need help.

Kelsey nodded.

Joe: can I talk to you guys out side really quick?

Amy: but-

Joe: just right outside the door, Ill even leave it open a crack.

Kevin: yeah.

We all walked outside into the hall.

Kelsey POV
I just wanted it to end. I needed those pills. I know I shouldnt, but they are my escape from the world. And right now I was starting to shake. I never thought in my life that I would ever be addicted to anything, but I am. I looked at the pills scattered across the floor. One wouldnt hurt. They wouldnt notice. They were out in the hall. I crawled over to the pill. I grabbed it and decided that it wasnt enough, I grabbed two more. I just looked at them in the palm of my hand. It would take a while to kick in. maybe the alcohol under my bed. Thats fast acting. I put the pills down and crawled towards the bed. I reached under and pulled out a box. I went straight for the vodka. I gulped it down feeling the burning sensation down my throat. I felt someone yank the bottle out of my hands. I looked up and Joe looked like he could murder someone (I can just imagine how hot Joe looks when hes mad!). He lifted me up taking me out of the dorm.

Joe: I cant believe you. I leave you for 2 minutes, and I come back to this. Do you really not care?!

Kelsey: No I need those. Take me back.

Joe: NO! you need help Kelsey. You arent going anywhere were you can go near that stuff. Were pulling you out of the music program.

Kelsey: its the one thing I love Joe. Music, I need it.

Joe: well you can get it without the drugs and alcohol.

Kelsey: TAKE ME BACK.

He put me on the ground.

Joe: Fine. Go back. Completely destroy your life. Hurt the ones you love, and the ones that love you. Be selfish and think of yourself. Go on. Go.

Ive never heard him talk like that. It was force full and angry.

I bit my lip. It was so simple, he was going to let me go back, I could have them. But I didnt want to let him down. I took his hand and walked back to my room.

Joe: Do you really think I want to watch you drink?

I picked up the bottles of alcohol and the pills.

Joe: You better not take all of those at once. No you better not take those at all. Do you find it amusing to have me watch you? Because its torture. Your just being stupid, and it hurts.

I grabbed his hand again and went into the bathroom I opened up the bottles of alcohol and poured them down the sink. Joe smiled. I took the pills and looked at them in my hand.

Joe: you can do it. I know you can.

I felt his hand on my back. I dropped them in the toilet and Joe flushed them down. He turned me around and held me in his arms.

Joe: Thank you.
